Geboren 1955 in Iowa. Fing schon früh an mit der Malerei und Zeichnerei. Mit Frank Gaard gab er in den neunziger Jahren das Fanzine MAN BAG heraus. Sein Feld ist das pittoreske Ambiente.  Lebt und arbeitet in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

Stu Mead (born 1955 in Iowa) is an American painter living in Germany. He is primarily-known for girl art incorporating strong elements of sexual fantasy and taboo themes, including adolescent sexuality and bestiality. His work could be said[citation needed] to exist somewhere between Balthus and good-girl artist Bill Ward.
His paintings were the subject of The Late Great Aesthetic Taboos, an essay included as part of Apocalypse Culture II, the controversial[citation needed] anthology, written by Adam Parfrey and published by Feral House.
